NOW SERVING 10,000+ UNIQUE USERS

DON’T PAY to enjoy working in AE, “labelme” is free

Easily change your label colors in the layer panel and project window by clicking on our color little tabs. You can reset your selection to its default color by hitting the X icon at the bottom. Our script is clever enough to detect YOUR color palette, any changes you make to your After Effects preferences will update the script’s visuals when reloaded.

N.A.Q. (NOBODY ASKED QUESTIONS)

WHY ARE YOU GIVING THIS SCRIPT OUT FOR FREE?

We never intended to charge money for our work. If we put our code up behind a paywall I'm sure no one would download it, but being free, we also feel that anyone who DOES download it will easily find a way to incorporate it into their AE workflow as we have. labelME is a lightweight and FREE alternative to other paid scripts such as Labels 3.

WHY DO YOU NEED MY EMAIL ADDRESS TO DOWNLOAD IT?

Simply put we have no way of tracking how many unique users are downloading, we won't be doing anything nefarious with your contact info. Down the line we may email current users about a major update, patch, or brand new script you may be unaware of when it releases.

labelME isn’t working; I want my equivelant of money back!

You may receive the error “No Preference File Found” and luckily this is an easy one. First, make sure After Effects has “Allow Scripts to Read/Write Files” is enabled in your preferences(In your General Tab or Scripting Tab depending on the version). Second, you can refresh the link that labelME uses to access your preferences by saving a small change to them. Go into your Labels Tab in Edit>Preferences and change one of your Label Color names. Hit OK to save your changes(e.g. rename “Yellow” to “Banana”), then restart After Effects.

I HAVE COMMENTS, QUESTIONS, AND SUGGESTIONS, HOW CAN I LET YOU KNOW?

Well there's no use screaming into the void, we have a contact form set up on the site; just set your subject line to "labelME" or you can do the same by emailing brandy@scarecrowarts.com. If it's a public shaming you're after you can always roast us on twitter @Scarecrow_Arts.
